I half expect France to switch sides. Relations between the USA and France are far from good and relations among France, Russia, and China have historically been friendly with France supplying arms and arms technology to both Russia and China. Likewise NATO is deploying battle groups to those countries also likely to switch sides when push comes to shove.
NATO has the same problem the old Soviet Warsaw Pact had, occupied countries really don't like being occupied. Will their militaries actually fight for you or against you?
