New Treasurer Stephen Mullighan, who was sworn in at SA’s Government House on Monday alongside Mr Malinauskas and Deputy Premier Susan Close, said the new Labor government wanted to move fast on the hydrogen project to be located at Whyalla.
The new Labor team wants a 200 megawatt power plant, an electrolyser and a 3600 tonne storage facility built by early 2026. The exact site will be determined by a panel of experts within the next 90 days.
