I'm sure some of our Germany based EUR guys can answer best.
What I can tell you is I used to own a company in Munich and my CEO asked me one day "how come the US news channels tell lies?"...I asked him what he meant..."in Germany the News Channels have to fact check everything and get into trouble if they report false news". This was in 2006, long before fake news was a "thing". My point is that First Berlin will have been meticulous in fact checking and will have been back and forward to EUR in the process.
