I have always thought that a flat bank or transaction tax would fit the bill and remove all other forms of tax
John Stone who got to be a Queensland senator was an advocate of this system
But it would have serious side effects which would stop it from being adopted
* Taxation department would be abolished
* Thousand of tax experts would be abolished
* ALL business would be more efficient and cheaper to run -- more experts to be sacked
* The government may have to finally operate under a budget
So no go ****
