That is why Proto and many others like them are called a speccie stock Fighting. Yes, there is a risk that they may disappear, along with many peoples hard earned, but yes, they may just rise from the pack and offer a big bang for your buck!! Buying shares is like any other gamble. I spread my risk between the bluechips and the specs, I write off my losses on my gains. If you have enough invested, and have made enough on a share, you can avoid the taxes (all legally Wood, not by using position lol) and your loss on a speccie is really a write off on a profit elsewhere.

I have to say though, I think it is worth taking the gamble on the smaller companies like Proto, I have made more through them than any "mainstream" share. Maybe I just like to gamble.....
