I am almost 100% sure that if I wanted any I could pick it cheaper than 2.40 on the market in the next few weeks. You get the shares straight away and you are not risking any downside between the date of sending money and the date when shares are allocated to you.
Just like a whole bunch of other stocks doing SPP at the moment, CSS and AFR to name a few, there is no discount hence there is no interest.
