The term 'tribe' is outdated; most university and government publications will refer to them instead as language groups. Although people are using the term Aboriginal, most national publications will use the terms Indigenous Australians and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
I believe the thread topic may cause Aboriginal people who experienced deep trauma as a result of their removal from their families more anguish. I remember seeing a documentary with Ruby Hunter explaining that she was put on a truck with many other young children and told they were going to the circus, never to see their families again. Just think about the impact of that on a child's life. I was fortunate to hear Ruby and Archie Roach sing at the Spirit Festival in Adelaide on the weekend. An amazing couple.
