nope sorry but you have not learnt your lesson at all.

A fund underperforming its bench market, has absolutely no relevance as to how it will perform in the future, all other factors being equal.

I actually had your thoughts 30 years ago. I used to go through all the fund managers yearly returns, and thought if i switched to the higher performers I would make money. (because I would extrapolate the fund managers historical returns into the future).

I learnt some painful lessons, which put me onto the journey of learning how to value both the underlying company, and the price paid for that company (ie share price).

I have subsequently never looked back
