Yes, its about time the ASX clamp down on the phrase "massive sulphide" when it is not accompanied by stating specifically what type of sulphide. It is far too open to any interpretation. Is it copper sulphide, or iron sulphide (the pyrite and pyrrhotite forms, which are worthless). And even if the visuals indicate its massive copper sulphide, then it should be accompanied by % visuals across the mineralized intersection. It might only be 0.1% of the entire interval that is massive copper sulphide, or if might be more or even 100%. Just using Carnaby as a guide, they log and report on each 1 metre of the mineralized intersection, with visual estimates of the % copper sulphide and % iron sulphide across each metre. Thats about as good as it gets for reporting purposes until assays are received. I'm surprised that REC directors allowed that announcement to go out given how open it is to interpretation. I doubt that REC issued the announcement then immediately thought, oh gee, maybe we should have given more detail. More likely they had a call from the ASX requiring more substantive detail. Likely the Pause will continue for a couple of days.
