I'm of the view that it's the new CEO bringing in new investors / investor interest. But there was also a surge prior to him coming on board. So now you have more demand vs supply, combined with improving economics for the company itself. Have a look at 3dp for what renewed investor interest can do to a share. In 3dp's case it was a whale investor buying in via a direct share offer, which made other people follow.
