Just doing the math on the proposed D2 DC.
NextDC advised yesterday they have secured the rights to a site for D2 in excess of 15 hectares.
S4 info states it will be a 300MW facility on 124,000sqm of land.
So with D2 proposed to be on in excess of 150,000sqm of land surely it can't be bigger than S4 in MW capacity.
Perhaps with land much cheaper in Darwin compared to Sydney they may use the extra land for renewable energy (Solar) to offset higher power costs due to high heat/humidity in Darwin.
Otherwise seems like a lot of data coming in from Asia.
