The ASX reality, as opposed to the continuous disclosure regulations and all the token fairness, is that instos do get more info than us.
Hawke's Point spent 2 months putting Rox under their microscope including on site visits to Youanmi before they became a cornerstone investor.
But the big insto advantage is that they know how to analyse data, they know their geology and have specialists in areas like narrow vein gold prospecting.
To illustrate, Rox announced their first regional results from the Youanmi Shear on strike from Penny West, the Penny Project, Magenta and the Youanmi mine.
These were first pass shallow AC holes. Most results were low grade but one was 16m of low grade with a couple of metres of high grade.
Most retail holders considered these poor results and the SP did not react. But Rox geos thought differently and have been drilling flat out for most of this year. The instos that bought into Rox at 40 cps would have agreed with Rox.
A hit like that from a shallow first pass AC hole in a high prospective areas is actually very significant.
Instos are showing increased interest in Rox imo. A big factor in that is that Youanmi has a reputation of hosting refractory ore when only 25% is mildly refractory and with the Albion process almost all the gold can be liberated.
Following the instos investments is a key to profitable trading imo.
