Nice this is something that ResApp has been trying to do for the past few years but has been held back due to COVID-19.. We can finally now get this ball rolling!
This pilot study will "support and gather data to demonstrate the efficacy of ResAppDx and how it enhances clinical and patient workflows."
It is one thing to get CE and TGA clearance and another thing to get these pilot studies going. Once we show that there are significant benefits for this technology to be used in the hospital setting then we will see a significant uptake in our technology IMO.
The naysayers will do their best to degrade the announcement like there's no revenue attached, another study! Oh my god the world is ending! I see hoofa is out in full force already lol. But there's no denying the words of Neil Perry:
"Neil Perry, Director of Digital Transformation at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, said “We’re really excited about the potential of ResAppDx to accelerate the digital transformation of our Trust and how we support our patients and clinicians. Our clinical team is excited about the potential
of ResAppDx to accelerate and enhance the diagnosis and management of our respiratory patients. Our initial pilot will be in the Respiratory Outpatient Clinic where we will build experience, learnings, and clinical advocates before expanding into other clinical areas. We see ResAppDx as a true innovation
and our team can’t wait to see the impact it brings.”
These pilot studies are necessary business 101! Especially when introducing a new technology into the mix such as ResAppDX which is such a powerful tool to enhance clinical and patient workflows!
PS on a side note I got COVID I understand why people pass away from this or are hospitalised after experiencing this. I just thought I would share that I started to get tickle in my throat Sunday evening woke up feeling exhausted on Monday did two RAT test both negative, received PCR results the following day positive! Extremely sick Tuesday thought I would do a rat test again to compare guess what still came back as negative! Did another rat test yesterday I had lots of different symptoms from Tuesday onwards still negative! The rat tests are a piece of crap! I will never buy one again! Meanwhile Joe Blow is walking the streets heading to his local grocery store because he's done multiple RAT tests and he thinks he has just got a really bad cold! Bring on RAP test ASAP! 92% accurate in ruling out if you actually have COVID - Joe wouldn't be still walking the streets going to his local grocery store then heading off to visit is Mum at the local nursing home!!!
Again I can't stress enough folks these Rat tests do not work if you feel like you have symptoms go get a PCR test! Until there is a better solution to replace the RAT come on RAP!
Cheers
