The US Geological Society predicts silver will be the first metal to be extinct. Perhaps only in 15 years or so.

Though I think that's pushing imagination, the US Geological society is a reputable organisation and you can verify this for yourself.

I think probably much longer, and it depends on the profitability of mining. Even granny will sell her flatware at $200 per ounce.

I doubt it will run out in our lifetime, but nonetheless there may be critical squeezing as China and India industrialise to catch up.

Don't underestimate their power. China has a few trillion bucks at hand to push themselves forward.
