Well, many here might know me as an optimistic soul ... so would you expect me to change possibly just 6-8 wks out from firing up at Kingaroy lol?
Maybe too much can be expected of MOUs. Imo, what they show is that the Company is thinking and developing their commercial model. I dont mind seeing the thinking morphing.
Essar ... well, they'll probably come a knocking after a successful pre-production burn at Kingaroy ... I get lots of Google Alert hits relating to UCG interest in India.
Pakistan leaves me cold ... I am more than happy for this to be via Cougar UK.
Victoria ... just extract a digit and get on with this one will ya! Victoia needs ucg to utilise their brown coal more efficiently than the world's dirtiest power stations curently do ... continued operation of those power stations a state and national shame imo ... (Mr Rudd wont be mentioning this in Copenhagen!
China/Mongolia ... a mate of mine has supervised a lot of coal drilling in Mongolia and I know it is there in licks ... the Chinese are ambitious and insightful enough to see the potential of ucg and I presume they'd like to be at the forefront if ucg is just half as good as it appears.
Direct Invest (DI) ... well the funding might not have yet appeared for Kingaroy, but then why would it be declared/commited 18 months ahead of a complete review of the Qld Govt stance on ucg? In the meantime, DI have shown their hand by being entwined with the China/Mongolia MOU ... I am sure they are attracted to the potential to fund a rollout of multiple similar power generation projects ... they did apparently choose Cougar ahead of others at the time ... one assumes DI gets better briefings than we mere mushrooms.
Ergo Exergy ... well the one MOU that mattered above all others imo morhed into an agreement 6 or so months ago I recall.
The recent staffing apointments are the actions of a confident management imo.
Not long now.
Cheers
Dex
