Today I spoke with someone who's worked on the Winu Project for the last 1-2 years. They said that at the moment it's not actively in full-scale development, and that they're only doing hydro drilling. Also said it was 200 person camp, but down to 50 people currently, said they were working for Rio Tinto Copper, but moved to iron ore division.

They gave no precise timelines, but it's April now, so I wouldn't be surprised if they start manning-up for the drilling field season

Rio Tinto are still going through Winu development with the traditional owners, so that would be part of the delay. But the biggest factor would be the SEVERE shortage in skilled labour needed to construct the project, especially for the logistics of the very remote area in the Paterson. The Winu workers fly to Port Hedland and drive all the way to Winu, so they'd need to build a proper runway before any real progress
