My observations about the panel discussion with IQ.I felt like IQ wants to get the NAL carbonate plant running, he directly asks KP if he thinks there is any future in carbonate, which KP grudgingly says "yes" to after dancing around a bit. KP is probably not keen to put up 25% of that cost right now with all of the other mouths that he needs to feed, but I got the impression that IQ wants to move on it sooner rather than later.

When asked about where he sees Sayona / Piedmont in 5 years, I felt like KP was presenting a resume as to why Piedmont should be involved in hydroxide production in Quebec, basically touting that PLL has vast amounts of experience in hydroxide production that they could export to Quebec.

When it came to partnering with Sayona or not he really was weak in his response, I sort of felt that this was not his desire.

Buffalo is a good choice but Tennessee might be a choice as well, they have lots of hydro power provided by the TVA and ford is building a plant there. He does mention not needing as much in the way of permitting because the site will be an existing industrial park.

The 2nd hydroxide plant in 2024 and the first (at carolina lithium in 2025/6) this leaves Sayona with 6 to 12 months of production that has no viable refining plant. Any further thoughts on where this production ends up going?
