Lots of thoughts but none that I could put any real credence to. I feel like Quebec has made it pretty clear they do not want any of their resources exported to China. Removing CATL from NAL consideration was a dead give away and there have been many others including The deal at Moblan that leads me to believe they would block moves to ship spodumene to China, or at least make it very uncomfortable.

So that would leave only a scant few locations left in the world where this could take place. I looked at this a few months back and there are just not many places that will b ready in 2023 to accept spodumene for conversion, and yet they (Sayona) seem pretty confident that they will begin production in the first part of 2023 which means they have worked out a solution.

Tesla was supposed to build a hydroxide plant at giga-texas and that would have been perfect, but I have not found one article that states that it ever got started. The other locations that might be interested would be Livent and ALB however I believe they intend to use their own resource to feed their expansions.

How about you ... any clues as to who / where the spod will go prior to PLL being ready with LIOH-2.
