I have to admit I go away from Hotcopper for a few years to address more important matters and when things settle down I return to find the place has been taken over by witless, uninformed, low entry punters and poor investors and snowflakes...what is the world coming to?

The smart, quick witted, articulately capable (often in not only english but latin and investment speak), robust debaters (often legal backgrounds) and deep analysts (many older actuaries) who used to post here are all but long gone. Was it them, or has Hotcopper changed THAT much?

I do wonder.
