I have been trying to figure out why FLC is running.

I wouldn't dispute that the move coincided the engagement of a new CEO. But I think there is more than that. I think funds are looking for any technology that will reduce the use of energy and hence global warming. The Russian invasion of Ukraine and the resultant rise in oil prices has highlighted the need even more. We need to move away from a dependence on fossil fuel.

Treating waste water uses up 2% of the world's energy output. The adoption of MABR will cut down 90% of a plant's opex and reduce energy usage. Plus MABR has all the benefits of removing greenhouse gases like nitrous oxide and phosphorous from waterways, reducing eutrophication etc.

Clearly, this theme is getting entrenched and the awareness of FLC is rising. We might finally see FLC included into one of the increasing environment and ESG themed indexes funds.

Increasingly, FLC will get into the mind share of major market players.
