These teachings are not Buddhist. They are pre-Buddhist. They are Hinduistic or Brahmin.

The Buddha used these metaphors but there reality is according to the listener or reader.

Heaven is bliss, hell is suffering torment, hungry spirits are addicts, human beings are humane beings, animal is instinct & ignorance.

Psychologically, one can traverse these various realms in one day.

To end, Buddha did not teach with the essence you are applying.
