I'll just point out that the MTC forum around the time you mentioned was proliferated by several negative posters and very few positive ones, so I wouldn't pay too much attention to anything you read there. If you look at MTC's chart after the Cancet drilling time I think it's easy to work out why the natives weren't happy.
