Owning Aurelia was only ever a fraught experience for me.
I really did not like management disruptions and internal disagreements. Jim S leaving abruptly included.
Are Sprott on the books there
@tully7?
Often doesn’t equate to positive shareprice action- Minotaur, Catalyst, Hot Chilli, all as examples where the Canadians on register, with promising resources, but doesn’t mean the shareprice does much, until maybe a final takeover or merger activity occurs.
(Eg. I own more AIS as no 1 resources stock now, as copper producer/ developer/explorer, & also replaced with new copper explorers Cloncurry region now — thanks to sale of my MEP holdings now , as it was finally taken over by andromeda. But all the years Sprott were no 1 shareholder- only stagnant price action mostly, was maddening )
Re. AMI. Unfortunately on a day I missed buying GOR at the same price, I bought AMI - several years ago now , I think was first half 2019.
Of course Gold Roads never pulled back for obvious buying , & continued to ascend rapidly to double its price from where I missed it in high 80s/90c, and bought Aurelia which began to drop shortly after I bought it right up there in high 80s/90 nearly area —ending up at only a fraction of its price.
I had also owned AIS and PEX in those years .
AIS I recall buying at about 30c first also.
All of them I had to stop myself out of.
All only small positions each time back then.
Got to know the companies however through time, Cobar region.
Aeris was afflicted by SA JV drilling with Argonaut —occurring until Andre pulled the plug on the funds drain & ongoing commitment at that time.
Argonaut were managing the exploration with AIS in JV and the costs were crazy. Terrible.
Aeris was not lead exploration manager and needed be exploring in own land in greater Tritton when funds and economics permitted + to be reliably securing the company’s future, eliminating debt, profitability most important .
AIS still holds the significant & valuable SA tenements but exploration really best left to majors there or AIS in future will re- explore when copper prices much higher.
Cobar had severe water shortages to contend with in 2019 also. AIS secured local water for Tritton , to drought- proof operations, by end 2019.
AMI drilling success back then was only very deep and will take time. Peel has been drilling for decade + and only now edging towards development too.
I am personally —much happier to add to my Aeris and did again yesterday @14.5c.
I’ll take AIS management over Aurelia management.
I know and really trust Andre and the very cohesive and experienced careful team AIS more + maybe I might buy a few Peel. (I do not currently own - they still got a lot of development ahead of them and Excised comments are very wise wrt companies that still have to as yet develop their mines and processing facilities)
I have briefly owned AMI a few times since 2019 , re- entering when positive developments occurred and each time another disappointment or uncertainty reared its head.
I just am very comfortable holding AIS more alone from the region .
In a few years AIS will be high 30s — can be 40s/50s + down the track, depending on what future brings .
But back up into 30s , medium term , I believe definitely. I can be perfectly happy with this outcome. Solid development copper resources with gold - central NSw and Qld , Australia , with good established local workforces and communities. AIS base case should be double current market capitalisation then grow.
Andre (AIS MD) is very ambitious and extremely careful too. Noting Jim Simpson is also very ambitious & bigger picture (he was AMI ceo, now with PEX)
Just worth watching.
And I know I keep going on about GBZ. But I do wonder about it. To me it is a takeover, superb prospects, and Aeris has an excellent relationship with & a stake in the company.
Both steady experienced managements.
Synergies- an alliance would solidify Aeris up in central Qld with Cracow and region. It is an excellent region- local regional farming communities and relatively nearby Qld coast areas for workforce and machinery contractors.
Cobar regional development + central Qld / Cracow steady, hoping for longterm expansion, & maybe regional expansion, ?GBZ. Others here are better qualified to comment - off beam?
Aeris will grow, excellent reputation important, and becoming more of a money- making machine.
