Note it was announced at 3.24pm. Allowing for trading halt means the market only had short time to digest. I suspect that price will be up tomorrow as result.baring any significant wall street downward movement.
Note in reality it doesn't change things in short ternm.
Board's job is to select ( hire/fire) CEO. Based on fact there has been no deal for greater part of 12 months tells me that there was disagreement about value of deal for crux farmout of potentially sale.
I sure deal will proceed more quickly albiet at lower value thane we all would like.
