You are naive and have a lot to learn if you truly believe that bs narrative. The big boys spread that shite to hood wink the market regulators in order to keep the system in place that massively favours them for ripping off mums and dads plus the big pension and mutual funds.
The big boys can trade in less than the $500 per trade restriction level that mums and dads must follow. They can ping the market even at 1 share per transaction. They front run inside information like upcoming capital raises amongst other sensitive information not yet released to the market. Most deviously they use tactics like 'short and distort' to lie, cheat and rip off the wider market.
They have so many advantages over the majority of market players. It is not a level playing field. It is a gravy train set up for the big boys and you have been sucked into their narrative.
Shorting regulations should be stripped back to basics and rebuilt completely in order to make it a fairer play for all market participants. Stop the small parcel trading for starters would be a good idea.
