You are correct. Then I must issue a correction. I was using the raw bulk material price. (Not the refined price) I should remember too that this is located in landlocked Africa.
When your numbers are plugged in, the current pricing seems more explicable. (somewhere around $400 a ton Incl Transport)
That seems more realistic 18 billion dollars would be the all in total estimated costs then.
Its true the scoping study is probably optimistic, but then again this whole study was based on outdated figures for the size of the deposits. So i suppose its probably somewhere close to accurate. (Economies of scale are always great, and this mine has the greatest of all economies of scale)
