Absolutely a profitis a profit, thanks so very much V for your wisdom and especially the post on the psychology of trading, you have been very kind alongside Patterns, who kindly helped me out and posted charts when I was working driving from client to client.

    STAGE 1
    • I set realistic profit goals before I buy and put sell orders in as soon as I buy them based on safer expectations.
    • I am less invested in the story behind shares and treat them as a vehicle on the day
    • Lesson learned, a double-dip today on one share was successful and made me money (twice), but I shouldn't have been impulsive and double-dipped on the other share wiping my initial 1st trade 1K profit out. A not well thought through decision (note to self beware distraction factor with having a tradie here at the time).
    • I spread my risk and 90% of the time do not go in hard with anything over $25k per trade.
    • I try to buy in a set amount of units which keeps it simple and think to myself for example for every 10,000 dollars of shares an 0.05 c increase is $500 and set my goals from there
    • I am disciplining myself to close out of a trade on the day, so no more overnight which caught me out on selling TEM with a $12k loss (and that phone call I should not have taken) I need to concentrate.
    • I have set up some Trading View preferences looking at 5-minute data predominantly but still have a long, long journey to get my settings and "favourite chart templates" up and running
    • Trying my best to interpret charts, slow and steady, better every day.

I really like that Angus McKinnon Youtube guy you put me onto and Warrior Trading (free videos) is very good for charting too
Overall my portfolio is growing last Monday I made a $13600 daily profit I have worked a lot since.

I have a question for you, I am a bit peeved that Trading View is not real-time, the data is delayed, so I still use BourseAnalyser. am I correct in that a lot of traders use Trading View and I was wondering @Veritas2000 how other traders function with just this or do they also use other platforms like Bourse? I feel incapacitated working on delayed prices and never trade unless I can see a chart.

Your support and that of so many others and especially @Patterns for answering our calls for charts is so amazing.
