Some great news.
I went over to our friends at the PP to see how many mineral/mine determinations are approved, and lo and behold they all are, some with additional conditions. One was withdrawn ; I only looked at the first fifteen or twenty.
I retract my nasty comments about their incompetence, and instead thank them for their fabulous and tireless efforts to keep our country working and rich.
