It is a big market and the yield is very dependent on the specifics of the property in question - sure 4% return is not much but the majority are earning more than 4% or if they are not now then give it a couple of years and the returns become significantly better. Property investing is no different to share investing pick the right property or share and you will do well, get it wrong and it may cost you and sometimes you will get it right and sometimes you will get it wrong. However hopefully if you do the numbers right then you will get it right more than you get it wrong. With any investment time is your friend.
