Unfortunately Eagle it's all part of the dirty political game. I recollect very vividly the many dirty smear tactics employed by those on the left side of politics in their hatred of Howard. It has continued recently with Bob Hawke's recent garish, mean episode on his 80th birthday, but then Bob was never known for his politeness or decorum. Look at the way he treated Hazel.
Those on the Left side of politics were totaly blinded by their hatred of Howard and refused to accept that OZ went through one of its most prosperous economic periods in its history. Thats' not to say that it was ALL due to the economic policies of the Howard/Costello Government, but it certainly played a prominent part.
