Orange City Council has a stormwater harvesying scheme in place to supplement the city's drinking water supply.The system involves various pollutant traps around the city and captured water is sent to batch ponds for treatment.When treated this water is pumped into the normal dam water supply and is subject to further stringent water processing pocedures.The water sent to from the batch to the dam is nearly of drinking water standard.The total cost of the system was $5M.
