Putting any faith in Boris Johnson bit of risk in my opinion, the US appear to be driving a wedge between Russia and the rest of Europe using Ukraine.
The US don't like it when nations all get along together, especially when some of those nations can be used as long term enemies to keeps the arms and weapons manufacturers in business.
