The proposition that I have been contemplating and is most concerning is that Putins motivation in this offensive has been to engage the west in nuclear war. He's as mad as a cut snake and pathologically narcissistic. Reinforcement of the proposition has been the reactions of both Macron and Nehammer after meeting with him.
