An article by Lyn Alden, a US macro economist, made a very good point. There isn't enough availability of battery metals to make all the EVs being planned. But via nuclear energy, electrolysis of water into hydrogen (and oxygen), would allow an economic way to supplement EVs with hydrogen powered vehicles. It may end up being a combination of hybrid EVs, EVs, hydrogen powered vehicles, etc.
