In my last company (small cap miner) before retirement every announcement was followed by a separate news release clearly explaining and expounding on the information/key take aways in the announcement. During times of no official announcements we would release stand alone news releases reminding the market of recent developments and future plans/timelines and expectations...no new information of course.
To do this we employed a separate company which draft6ed the news releases, arranged meetings and presentations with the investment community and provided a conduit between my company and the market.
A deliberate policy to ensure the broader market was kept informed and up to date as well as supporting the SP and shareholder value.
A simple and straight forward exercise that worked like clockwork
