"No fault of the fossil industry ? Who's fault is it then ? They mine it, ship it, market it and yet it's not their fault ? Even after a century of production, they are still gouging the little bloke."You re asking whose fault is it that fossil fuel supply has not been able to keep up with demand?
Maybe the coal industry actually set up the following sorts of organisations as part of some truly elaborate scheme to prevent new fossil fuels capacity being developed so that oil, coal and gas prices would go up when demand inevitably outstripped supply:
Endcoal.org
Greenpeace
Stop Adani
Lock the Gate
Climate and Health Alliance
Client Earth
UN
EU
NRDC
Sierra Club
350.org
Friends of the Earth
Climate Analytics
Blackrock
Various Greens political parties around the world
Conference of the Parties (Numbers 1 through 26)
Multitudes of NGOs, government agencies and media outlets
[You must have been living on Mars for the past decade if you are unaware of the anti-fossil fuel legislation that has been passed on just about every western country.]
"That's the beauty of sun and wind. Always turns up"Except that they don't always turn up.
Conventional wisdom teaches us the sun disappears for at least half of every earth day and even when it is around on ay given side of the globe, it sometimes gets obscured by clouds.
As for wind, unlike the sun wind doesn't "set", but even wind sometimes fails to turn up for weeks - and even months - at a time:
