    100% agree, not to mention the $13 billion/yr(2019) it costs tax payers. Hopefully they do a Gillard and backflip on this policy. NZ is also the perfect case study for removing negative gear; suprise surprise the sky hasn't fallen and the growth rate of houses has been kept in check.

    Just imagine if that 13 billion wasn't spent on lining the pockets of the privlaged and was put towards something that actually created jobs.

    I know this doesn't directly relate but I found this interesting:

    "The Australia Institute recently calculated that every million dollars spent on infrastructure creates one direct job for men and 0.2 jobs for women. Every million on education, by comparison, creates 10.6 direct jobs for women and 4.3 jobs for men."
