It's very true, so many people drive around in a brand new car they bought on finance at stupid interest rates, drink numerous coffees from coffee shops each day, buy lunch, have foxtel, a credit card always paying interest etc etc etc and then bitch and moan they can't afford a home. If they added up all the money they waste by not doing some simple things like making their own coffee and making a sandwich to take to work for lunch and driving an older car they could afford with cash, they'd be surprised how many tens of thousands they could quickly save.
You want the govt to step in and take even more money from those of us who sacrificed throughout our lives to grow our asset base so we can live comfortably as we get older and give it to these people who live the high life living paycheque to paycheque unwilling to sacrifice anything to try and get ahead. Personally I think your view of life is very sad, wanting the govt to take away all personal responsibility and steal from those who do everything they can to get ahead in life.
