Has been a profital ride for Anvil holders.
From single figures to 12 - 15 cent range.
From there to high 30's - low 40's.
From there to 60 cents - steady.
With substancial turn over.
AVM shares at below 60 cents are now being snapped up - obviously by a range of buyers.
Quarterly report due in two weeks.
Usually AVM share price moves about this time of the month in anticipation.
As if a range of groups are able to analyse statistics before report is compiled and presented.
Perhaps they do?
Will leave it to the likes of Flats, Stone Pony and Miningnut to anticipate the likely outcome of last quarter profit figures.
They are usually close to the mark.
Can't imagine a radical change in substance from previous quarter - stage 2 only being ramped up late in quarter, interuptions due to construction, availability of new trucks and machinery, etc.
Because various institutions indicated on present known proved Dikulushi resources and actual reported profits have declared a value on AVL of 60 cents or more per share.
It is likely that 60 cents is the short term floor price.
Excitement builds as Gecamine announcement gets close, that resouce upgrade for Dikulushi is imminent, that drilling results on other possible resources draws closer.
Should these announcements be delivered soon and should anticipated Dikulushi profits be upgrades due to increasing price of copper, greater efficiencies and increasing ore throughput what then?
Share price now based on Dikulushi mine alone could well sweep to the 70 - 80 cents range.
The impact of say a Gecamine announcement?
As institutional analysis is very basic and looks to actual short term profits do not expect a large move in the share price.
Surely however the prospects of much larger mining output - proft with Gecamine developments should place a premium on share price.
After taking into account need to raise funds for infrastructure - possible dilution of shares and lead up time?
Your guess is as good as anyone's including mine.
But surely an additional 12 -20 cents premium could be added to share value.
If so short term target of 92 cents plus is reasonable?
By early 05?
For the time being the next three weeks should be very interesting.
And positive.
Cheers,
