But I guess there are customers out there who want black mass? If there's a market for it, why not sell it & fund the operation. It's a good question Loop, I don't entirely know why it can't be run through the back end, but it's been the plan for a while & mentioned several times previously.

The multiple products would mean numerous customers to find. Perhaps they haven't found offtake customers for all the back end products? I'm thinking more around the lines of the fertilizer byproduct. Perhaps they need an offtake customer for fertilizer before the back end can commence commercial operations? I believe every part of the recycling process could send material back into the battery industry or at least another industry that needs the product.
