Can we move away from "bears" and "bulls" terminology in Property Forum?
All i see is property people and non-property people posting on this forum.
The terms bulls and bears IMO indicates both are active in the market. I dont think this is the case here.
Its a share trading terminology. It's akin to timing peaks and troughs and quick flip trades for short to medium term investment.
Yet time and time again we perpetuate this myth that the asset class of property can be traded one and the same with other investment classes, by engaging in "bear" "bull" polarisation, accusations of ramping and scare moungering by industry professionals.
IMO Long term investment strategy is used to ride out risk prone cycles, and ride inflation cycles for income protection. A less stress option for some.
A good mix of investment in a number of asset classes is a great way to position yourself IMO. But bagging one over another, or just bagging one is really below the intelligence level of the majority of HC readership in my opinion.
