so does Dutton say that the military were not "prepared for war" when he became Minister? Why were previous Lib Ministers of Defence not prepared for war?

what bloody nonsense.... he may be a fan of Machiavelli and priming the nation for his Prime Ministership. Using Orwellian conflict to bind the nation to his will.

Funny that Orwell was trying to warn people generally that politicians who use the threat of war as a means to gain power are not acting in the best interests of the country but in their own self-interest.

Doesn't this say something to Dutton's verbalisations?
