like already mentioned in this thread, the main thing holding PODs sp back is the lack of mine plan which shows it can be mined economically. How do you mine a 15km long x 20m wide deposit economically? I’m not sure it’s clear to the company who have only been talking about a small section high grade starter pit. Our grades are good but not great. If we had a plant half way along the reef it would still be 7.5km from either end. How high would our AISC be trucking it that far? The size of our deposit would shrink to whatever length of the 15km strike could be mined economically.
Chalice have drilled 10moz within 1.9km by 800m (which is only 7% strike). A nice contained oval shaped deposit with hundreds of examples from around the world showing how a deposit this size and shape can mined economically.
I’m no mine designer so this is my only concern with Parks Reef at this stage. Would love to be informed by someone more knowledgeable.
