Is your wife across the fundamentals as you are? Perhaps bring her up to speed, if not, and go from there. If the better half wants some security/cash in the bank, does it have to be 50% or something less? Nobody on this forum is touting their qualifications to give financial advise, least of all me. We all have different situations and goals. Personally I am on tender hooks as I need some cash to fund a purchase in the next few weeks, so I am hoping my prediction for the 11thMay is close to the mark, but my crystal ball is cloudy. All I know is if I cashed out when my darling wanted me to, mid last year, we would not be in the situation we are now and able to fund our current plans. She is now happy I went against her then, but to placate her I cashed out a small parcel and tiled the back veranda.
