If 1900USD per gram is a low gold price then FFX is doomed, but I don’t think that’s the issue this quarter. FFX met its guidance last quarter, and it’s operating loss seems vague to me - those fees might be going towards LLL production and the early roadworks.
It looks like we can expect future mining to yield multiples higher grades of gold based off earlier assay results, while Q1 has returned lame grades. Hopefully they get over these poor grades of money tightness becomes an issue. At this rate by Q4.
I understand the disappointment in a slow demerger process but I don’t understand the hate toward the gold. If FFX weren’t mining the gold we’d be looking at huge losses. These losses are being offset substantially - but not entirely yet.
