woollly, despite the correction in the SP of SEC, not for a minute do I have any doubts as to their proficiency, expertise, or management of the PF. All shares irrespective of growth or value have been on the nose lately and it is even more important to have funds with those who are unperturbed by market ructions or are not easily dissuaded from their original strategy. The team at SEC have been resolute and have stressed over a period, that they will not overpay for “hot” stocks and they seek value in Stocks with good fundamentals. They have also changed their dividend plan to pay quarterly, so this effectively puts a “brake” on the SP four times a year, rather than the normal half yearly dividend payments. Yes, the SP of SEC has been unusually volatile lately and one could suggest that it would be a candidate for a trading opportunity. I would be more than happy to do this, knowing that if I stuffed up, I would still end up with SEC shares. There would be worse things that could happen. No doubt about it, LSF has effectively shot the lights out in comparison with SEC but one is an international dealer, and the other in Ozzie equities. Yes, SEC is down, but have a look at the Wilson funds ! In short, more than happy to continue to hold SEC as part of my “supposedly” balanced portfolio.
