I keep reading bullish predictions and people loading up the truck etc as the POG falls despite catastrophic world events and very ordinary NST quarterly reports. The SP has fallen from a high of $17+ over a year ago to about where it is now, then risen to $11.40 and is now back to the mid 9's and likely to fall again just as the POG has to $1885. I have held this stock for years and now just see it as wasted opportunity, given the chance to sell that have been missed. This is not the same company boasting exciting veins of gold that drive up the SP I bought 10 years ago. It is a company with a couple of millstones around its neck, heavily dependent on the POG which for a long time has looked unlikely to ever break out at best of the $2000 POG limit. It has become more dependent on expensive underground mines and expensive fuel costs. Nevertheless, HC investors see falls in the SP as exciting opportunity - perhaps so for traders but from a long term holders point of view, I find the current SP in the context of our times to be utterly disheartening. This is not a good place to listen to advice, nearly all of it ramping up the company and SP's prospects when there seems no reason to do so. But most of all, I hate myself for not heeding my own intuition and banking the best profit possible, as I believe the best for NST is in the past and the SP will never again go anywhere near the heights it hit during covid lockdown. I would really appreciate just one learned poster able to rationally show why the company's mines have a brighter future than they currently indicate and why POG is going to significantly rise when it is currently unable to take advantage of the direst world circumstances.
