    quite plainly ridiculous. its the right of workers to withdraw labour if the employer refuses to negotiate or sets unfair limits to workers needs, eg pay rise well below inflation after >2 years of 2.5% cap on Govt wage rises. Nurses and many other professions in the same boat with the NSW strictures on wages.

    Last year nurses asked Berejiklian for a 2.5% wage rise and Ms B rejected that and offered 0.3%... this after 18months of struggling to manage the massive influx of infectious people that caused massive staff shortages and extreme workloads for every health professional.

    to propose the striking teachers should be prepared to go to prison for asking for a reasonable pay rise? is utterly disrespectful and ungrateful.
