The new generation need instant gratification and validation or they lose interest. When I tell my teenage sons that I didn’t even have a mobile phone in high school, there was no such thing, they look at me like omg what planet are you from you old weirdo….I’m mid 40’s haha, I don’t think I’m old but I certainly have a different outlook on timeframes for achievements.
