On recent history, the only time it’s been at 8c or less was due to technical issues which have now been resolved.
There’s a megabit chip due within 60 trading days, that is probably going to work. That chip is looking to demonstrate characteristics which have never been seen before:
- SRAM speed @ 10x faster than DRAM
- Retention of hours or days
- Thousands of times more energy efficient than DRAM
- Scalability to gigabit at lowest geometries available
Im pretty sure there will be plenty of interest above 8c.
